What is a Memorygram Medallion?

A weather-proof, 4 inch by 4 inch, aluminum heart engraved with your loved one's name, birth year, year of passing and a unique QR code.

This QR code links to a Virtual Memorial built by you where you can share historical information, memories, accomplishments, videos and photos. The Virtual Memorial and voice feature are also included with all purchases.

How does the Voice Feature work?

The Voice Feature is completely optional and is included with all medallion purchases.

When you are creating the Virtual Memorial, there is a section to upload a short voice clip of your loved one and answer some personality tuning questions.

Once you add this to the Virtual Memorial, a "Talk With" button will appear, and you can have a conversation with your loved one's voice and personality.

I don’t have permission to apply this to a gravestone, or I’m not comfortable attaching anything.

When you love someone, you want to honor them with care and respect, and not everyone feels comfortable placing anything on a gravestone, especially if permission is unclear.

The good news is the Memorygram Medallion was designed to look beautiful both outdoors and indoors. Many families choose to display it at home using the included stand, next to an urn, next to a framed photo, in a garden, or on a memorial table, and the memorial is still just as easy to share through the virtual memorial link.

How do I use a Memorygram Medallion?

Simply scan the QR code on the medallion using a smartphone or QR code scanner. This will direct you to the Virtual Memorial where you can view and share memories.

How does this work as a gift?

A Memorygram medallion is a thoughtful gift to bring comfort when they need it most.

The gift recipient will receive the medallion with easy instructions to set up the Memorial page and optional voice feature.

How does photo and video upload work?

We allow direct upload of photos and videos to the Virtual Memorial.

How many photos and videos can I use?

Each Medallion includes 1GB of storage, typically enough for about 500 photos and 15 videos, depending on file sizes. If you ever want more than 1GB, we can offer additional storage with a simple one-time option, and help you choose the best fit based on what you want to include. How do I get a fingerprint for engraving?

We need a clear digital photo of a fingerprint. Here are the most common ways to get one:

If your loved one has passed: Contact the funeral home that handled arrangements. Many funeral homes take fingerprints during their care process, even if you didn't request one. Ask if they have a fingerprint on file and request a photo or scan of it. Note: we can't accept physical fingerprint cards by mail, so ask the funeral home to email you a digital copy, or take a clear photo of the card yourself.

Taking a print yourself: Use a standard ink pad from any office supply store. Roll the finger gently from one side to the other on the pad, then roll it the same way onto plain white paper. Photograph the result.

No ink pad? Try the pencil method: Rub a pencil back and forth on paper to create a dark graphite patch. Press the fingertip into the graphite, then press clear tape onto the fingertip. Peel the tape off, stick it onto white paper, and photograph it.

What are the image requirements?

You can upload one image. For best results:

  • Photograph in bright, even lighting, directly above the print
  • Make sure the full print is in focus and fills most of the frame
  • Use plain white paper with good contrast (dark print, clean background)
  • Avoid shadows, glare, and blur

Can I update the content on the Virtual Memorial?

Yes, you can update the content on the Virtual Memorial at any time, allowing you to add new memories and photos. You can also use the voice feature immediately or set it up in the future.

Will you edit or clean up my image?

We do minor cleanup, such as adjusting contrast and removing small smudges, to prepare your print for engraving. We can't reconstruct incomplete, blurry, or heavily smudged prints, so the quality of the final engraving depends on the quality of the image you submit.

Shipping and warranty

  • Upon purchase, you will receive a link to build the Virtual Memorial. During this time, we will prepare your order and ship to your destination.
  • As each medallion is custom made with name, birth year and year of passing, please allow 1-3 days for fulfillment. If time is of the essence due to a funeral or memorial service, please email us at hello@memorygram.com and we can rush order.
  • Our medallions are shipped from Austin, TX. Tracking will be provided via email once the shipment is sent.
  • We stand behind our product and offer a lifetime warranty. If there are any defects, damages or wear and tear, we will replace the medallion at no additional cost.
  • As each medallion is custom made, we are unable to accept returns.

Is my data secure?

Yes, all uploaded content is securely stored and only accessible by those you share it with.

I already have a memorial page. Can you link to that?

Yes! If you have a website page you prefer we link to, we are happy to facilitate. Just email us at hello@memorygram.com after you place your order and we will direct the QR to your preferred URL link.

What about military or national cemeteries?

National and military cemeteries often have strict guidelines, and in many cases the standard rules say you cannot permanently attach items to a headstone. That said, we have had customers successfully place Memorygram Medallions, so we recommend calling the specific cemetery office and asking what is permitted at that location before you install anything.

The Medallion was designed to look beautiful both outdoors and indoors, so even if you decide not to attach it, you can still display it at home using the included stand, next to an urn, or beside a framed photo, and share the memorial instantly with a link.

Will the QR still work long term if technology changes?

Yes. The Medallion’s QR code simply opens your virtual memorial, which lives online as a shareable web link. That means your memorial is not dependent on one specific phone or app, and you can always share the memorial directly by sending the link to family and friends. The Medallion is a convenient way to access it with a scan, and the memorial itself is designed to remain accessible over time.

Can this be used for pets? 

Yes! Many of our customers create medallions and Virtual Memorials for both humans and pets. Our Virtual Memorial is built for both.

I recently had a bench dedicated for my son. The plaque is nice, but I was very happy to see these medallions advertised. I immediately ordered one for the bench. The adhesive seems to be very strong and should last. My only issue has been uploading photos and a video. I figured out the photos but have not had luck with the video. Overall, I love this product and have suggested it to friends.

It turned out great!!! Absolutely loved it!! Communicating with them was quick and easy. They were friendly and very helpful about the whole process and answered every question I had with respect and in a timely matter. I really appreciated that! Not only that, but the product itself was great quality! The engravement was perfect and personal! The family I gifted to LOVED it! Shipping was fast! Exactly what I needed and really appreciated that as well! The memorial page was the best out of all the others that I've seen. I bought one before this and it was terrible! It was easy cheaper than this one, BUT I see why. Every detail about the page won me over so I returned the other and got this one instead and I DO NOT regret it!! I loved the music aspect of this especially when you watch videos and pictures. The music continues to play in the background. Plus, the fact that you can zoom in on pictures is awesome as well!
