How does FamilyDial actually connect our calls?

At the scheduled time, FamilyDial texts every participant a reminder that includes a single link and an optional dial-in phone number.

Tap the link to join the call (camera optional) or, if you don’t have internet, dial the number to join by voice.

We make sure everyone gets connected effortlessly. FamilyDial acts like your personal conference operator.

Do family members need a smartphone, internet connection or any special app?

Although a smartphone and internet connection are required for the one-click conference link and video calling, we offer a dial-in option as well, so any phone will work. FamilyDial can connect landlines, flip phones, smartphones. FamilyDial works with whatever your family uses.

This makes it easy for even the least tech-savvy relatives to be included.

How do we get reminders before the call?

FamilyDial sends out text message reminders to each participant before the scheduled call time. When scheduling the call in FamilyDial, you can choose to have reminders sent out 15 minutes and 1 hour before the call.

It’s a gentle nudge so everyone remembers to be available. This dramatically reduces the chances of someone forgetting or being caught off guard. No excuses this time 😊

What does pricing look like? Are there any hidden fees?

We welcome you to try FamilyDial free for 7 days. After the 7-day trial, you pay one flat monthly fee of $9.99 for the whole family to use the service.

The cost is $9.99 per month and you can cancel anytime directly from your dashboard. Standard call, data and text message rates from your phone carrier may apply, but FamilyDial does not charge per call, per minute, or add any hidden fees beyond the monthly subscription.

There are no long-term agreements. If you're not absolutely thrilled, you can cancel anytime.

How do recurring calls work?

When scheduling a FamilyDial call, you can choose for it to be a one-time event or set it to recur daily, weekly, monthly, or even yearly. It's a simple “set it and forget it” system designed to keep your life more organized.

Before each recurring call, scheduled text message reminders will automatically go out to every participant, including you, to help ensure everyone joins on time.

Can I change our call schedule or add/remove people?

Absolutely. You’re in control.

You can log in to your FamilyDial account at any time to update the call schedule or edit your list of participants.

Need to skip a week or change the time? No problem, just adjust the schedule with a few clicks. Want to add your cousin now that she’s back from her trip? Easy, just add her number.

Changes are flexible, so the service always fits your family’s life.

Will FamilyDial calls work without me? Can I schedule a call between family members and not be involved?

Yes! When scheduling a call, you can toggle "Include Me" off, and the call will take place between the participants you select. No need for you to join.

At the scheduled time, each participant will receive a text message with a one-click link to join the secure conference call. They can join using their phone or computer, with or without video.

The experience is the same whether or not you’re part of the call, and reminders will still be sent ahead of time to ensure everyone shows up.

Will FamilyDial work for just two people on a call?

Of course! The functionality is the same whether you’re scheduling a call for yourself and one other family member, for two family members without your involvement, or for a larger group.

You have full control over who’s included each time you schedule a call.

What if someone misses the call or can’t pick up?

FamilyDial will still connect whoever joins. If someone can’t make it, the rest of the family can continue the conversation.

Think of it like a regular call. If one person doesn’t answer, they just won’t be on that call. You can always catch up with them later, or they’ll join the next scheduled call.

Our reminder texts help minimize no-shows. And if everyone happens to miss the call (say an emergency comes up), you can easily reschedule or just wait for the next planned call.

Is FamilyDial on the call or could FamilyDial listen in?

Absolutely not. FamilyDial never joins your call. At the scheduled time, we simply send each participant a secure, one-click link via text message to join the call.

Once the link is sent, our job is done. We do not join, record, or listen to any part of the conversation. Your call is private, just like any regular call, only coordinated by us.

Your family’s moments and stories stay completely yours.

How do scheduled text messages work?

Aside from our reminder service that sends text messages before each call, you can also schedule individual text messages to be sent in the future.

You have full control over the date and exact time the message is sent. Messages are sent from the FamilyDial phone number with a header that says, “You have a FamilyDial message from (Your Name)...”

You can schedule messages up to one year in advance and set them to recur daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Perfect for automatically sending things like “Happy Birthday” or “Happy Anniversary.”

What if we decide FamilyDial isn’t for us?

We think you’ll love it. But if not, you can cancel at any time. There are no contracts locking you in, and if you cancel, you won’t be billed for the next monthly cycle.
